Anorectal symptoms are common and may have several causes. A careful history and examination allow an accurate diagnosis and help avoid unnecessary treatment.
Dr Burton will explain the findings, non-operative options and any procedure that may be recommended. Rectal bleeding should not automatically be assumed to be due to haemorrhoids and may require further investigation.
